About The Postnatal Coach
Pregnancy, labour and motherhood can be a beautiful and wonderful experience for a woman but unfortunately can sometimes take its toll on us making us feel very disconnected from ourselves.

The majority of us feel this in a physical way, such as a lack of control or weakness of muscles in our abdomen, pelvic area and other parts of our body. Add in the tiredness, stresses and overwhelm of all the wonderful:) things that motherhood brings with it and we can feel mentally disconnected and drained too.

However with the right guidance and support it is totally possible to regain your physical and mental strength back. And maybe even find a stronger version of you to help deal with all the woes that motherhood and life throw at you.

So whether you are 11 weeks, 11 months or 11 years postnatal (like me) your journey to get stronger starts when you are ready.
And when you are ready, I'm here to help you.
How can I help you?
I've worked with postnatal Moms for nearly 10 years now and I’ve created this programme to:

-
Ease you back into exercise so you feel safe and progress at your own pace
-
To strengthen muscles that feel lax or weak but to also release tension from tight, sore muscles. To do this I teach a variety of exercises from yoga, pilates & strength training
-
To help you get stronger in your body and mind so you have the mindset to reach your individual goals
-
To show you ways to bring strength and functional exercises into your busy Mom life so you don't have to go to a gym, if you don't want to or don't have the time
-
To guide you on nutrition & exercise that will not only help you heal, but will help you get stronger, lose weight (if that's your goal) but most importantly make you feel good from the inside out.
-
And last but not least, we all know motherhood can be lonely sometimes, so to help you and your baby connect with other Moms and babies in a lovely calming space and environment.

Meet Sara
Since discovering how much exercise helped me on my postnatal journey after my second son was born over 11 years ago, I’ve been passionate about learning and teaching as many Moms as I can to help them on their postnatal journey.
In 2014 I qualified as a personal fitness trainer but was baffled and somewhat shocked with how little focus and education was given to how to train a pregnant or postnatal woman. The amount our body goes through and the issues I was seeing through classes or Facebook groups, I knew this wasn’t sufficient to help the majority of Moms.

I decided this wasn't good enough so I researched the best in the business and in 2015 I travelled to London and studied with Jenny Burrell, a leading UK Womens Health Educator and creator of Burrell Education. I continued to train & complete other courses online with Burrell Education in Advanced Postnatal Functional Exercise & Optimal Nutrition for the postnatal woman.

In early 2017 I discovered the amazing Lauren O'Hayon who created the renowned Restore Your Core™ Programme and had the absolute privilege to be one of her first teacher trainers in the world, and I am still the only qualified teacher in Ireland. I continuously meet up and train with Lauren any chance I get and have done various courses over the years with her.

In 2020/2021 I trained to become a "Heart and Bones" Yoga Teacher with Brea Johnson. This was the most beautiful of studies and experience and has added another layer on the way I teach my classes and also the way I train/move.

In my classes, one-to-ones and workshops I combine all of my training and expertise to guide Moms in a progressive nature back into exercise & functional strength movement, even if they have never worked out before.

My goal is to teach Moms how movement & exercise can not only help them heal but how it can make their bodies and minds so much stronger to help them face whatever they come up against in their postnatal journey. The added bonus would be to show them how to enjoy movement so they take away as much love for it as I have x.
