About The Postnatal Coach

I want to reach & teach as many Moms about the importance of strengthening their core through exercise & nutrition in a gradual safe way after having a baby. My goal is for Moms to not only have a stronger core so they don't have to worry about incontinence when they sneeze or run after their kids, but also to teach them functional exercise to make them stronger in their everyday lives, such as lifting their baby or kids, car seat, shopping etc. without causing damage to their backs. This in turn will hopefully empower them to believe & reach whatever long-term goal they may have.

Meet Sara

In Feb 2015 I studied with Jenny Burrell, a leading UK Womens Health Educator & since then have continued to train & complete courses in London in person with her & also online in Advanced Postnatal Functional Exercise  & Optimal Nutrition for the postnatal woman.

Early 2017 I started following another amazing mentor Lauren O'Hayon who created the Restore Your Core Programme & had the absolute privilege to be one of her first teacher trainers in the world, and the only one in Ireland. 

Working in more of progressive nature, easing Moms back into exercise & functional movement even if they have never worked out before. Showing & teaching them the path that exercise & nutrition can help so much in the postnatal period with not just healing the body but keeping a healthy mind also.

The Postnatal 6 Week Programme Includes:
  • Choice of either 1 or 2 classes per week (90 mins class incl. refreshments). These classes consist of a gradual progression of exercises to restore and heal the postnatal Mom's body & mind. This is done through functional strength exercises, light cardio & specific core movement training ending with a guided relaxation followed by tea, coffee & chats.

  • New from January 2020. Free entry to the Postnatal Coach Foundations Workshop which is suitable for both Moms-to-be and Moms at any stage of the postnatal period - more details available here

  • A Gift Bag which includes a printed copy of The Postnatal Mom Guide with lots of info on nutrition & overall well-being of Moms in the postnatal period with loads of delicious family friendly recipes that will help nourish & heal the body.

  • Access to online recipe books, complete with healthy meal plans & complete shopping lists to make things easy for busy Moms.

  • Weekly home video exercises to help you reach your goals

  • A closed Facebook group for additional support & guidance throughout the programme.

  • Continuous assessment & advice throughout the 6 weeks.

  • Optional - Private 1-to-1 Restore Your Coreconsultation (at a reduced rate if bought with programme or during). This is highly recommended for all Moms but specifically for Moms with concerns of postnatal issues. This is an hour private 1-to-1 consultation in which Sara will assess and work through all your postnatal issues and decide on a plan of action tailored to you. Moms who have taken this option have seen results quicker due to a better understanding of their own bodies & issues, and what they need to do to resolve or restore them. The consultation includes the following:

    • Posture Alignment Analysis​

    • Diastasis Recti (Abdominal Seperation) Examination

    • Breath to Core Connection Test

    • Core Function Test

    • Movement Assessment

    • Nutrition Discussion & Advice

Classes are limited to small numbers so book early to avoid disappointment.

Babies are more than welcome (but not a necessity).

All Moms must have sign off from their doctor to return to exercise and we would recommend 6 weeks post natural birth and 8 to 10 weeks post c-section before starting the Postnatal Programme. The Foundations Workshop is suitable for Moms at any stage and can be attended whenever you feel ready. 

Upcoming Classes

Unfortunately In-Person classes are postponed until further notice. They will return as soon as I feel I can provide the same service to my Mums in a way that is safe to both Mums & babies.
